GmbH - Wefa for short. Plastic is our material. More precisely: engi- neering plastics such as PE, POM, PA, PEEK, PTFE, PET and more. We use them to manufacture semi-fi- nished products, profiles & guides and individually developed cus- tom-made products. Wefapress® is family-run and has deep ties to the region. Both of these virtues have always been part of Wefa- press® - with every expansion, every increase in the number of employees, every product innova- tion. To this day, they guarantee the steady, vibrant development of the company. Pioneers in plastics processing There are two more crucial quali- ties: inventiveness and foresight. They are part of our corporate DNA. In 1955, Wefapress® was the first company in the world to succeed in processing polyethy- lene using the press-sintering process. This method, which was revolutionary at the time, is still widely used today in an optimised and further refined form. There are hardly any limits to the use of plastic solutions within the indus- trial sector. Industries such as the food industry, mechanical engi- neering, the chemical industry, the bulk goods or paper industry have long relied on the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our customised plastic parts made from high-quality and inno- vative materials. Yesterday and today: the best raw materials, high-quality processing Today we can say that: thanks to our experience, our energetic team, committed foreign repre- sentatives and state-of-the-art machinery, we are able produce to the highest standards, sell our technical plastics and industry solutions worldwide and look back on a successful history. With over 125 years of experience, we are leading our company towards technological progress and offer our employees attractive career opportunities. All plastic products are manufactured from premium raw materials in our own factory. By choosing the right material according to the specific require- ments, we can influence the pro- perties of the product and alter them in a positive way. The plastic has made this possible. However, it all started with a completely different material: rawhide leat- her. Our founders used it to make pickers and other spare parts for looms at the end of the 19th cen- tury. It is therefore not impossible that we, now in our fourth gene- ration, will once again break new ground.

Since 1955, all We- fapress® PE-UHMW products have been manufactured and proces- sed from first-class raw materials at our plant in Vreden. Made in Germany! PE-UHMW from Wefapress® is the plastics producer of choice for St 1000® PE-UHMW, the “all-rounder” St 1000® (DIN 16972 TG2) is an ultra-high molecular weight low- pressure polyethylene (PE-UHMW) with a molecular weight of approx. 4.4-9.2 million g/mol and has many uses in any industry. By using specially selected additives, it is a variety of industries. It is cha- racterised by a high molecular weight of 4.4 million g/mol to 10 million g/mol and shows the most balanced property profile of all polyethylenes: This high-per- formance plastic has excellent sliding and wear properties as well as outstanding impact strength. PE-UHMW is cold-resistant down to -200 °C and heat-stable up to a maximum of +80 °C. The mate- rial is also moisture-resistant and therefore particularly dimensio- nally consistent and tolerance- stable. possible to positively influence the St 1000® PE-UHMW material according to the specific requi- rements. Premium materials Wefapress® has an extensive PE- UHMW-based premium product range with the right PE quality to meet every requirement. A wide range of thermoplastics is availa- ble for this purpose. By choosing the right material and targeted finishing, we can influence the product properties to accurately meet the respective industrial requirements: We use lubricants, crosslinkers, stabilisers, silicates and more to modify and enhance the func- tionality of PE-UHMW for spe- cific applications. This includes plastics for higher temperature ranges > 100 °C. PE-UHMW - for every industry The diversity of today‘s indus- tries places a whole range of different demands on materials, components and assemblies: For example, in machinery and plant engineering, they must have good sliding friction coefficients and be able to withstand high impact hardness. Excellent sliding pro- perties due to a low sliding fric- tion coefficient are also required in the bulk materials industry, as optimal material flow must be ensured at all times. For paper machine operators, it is essential that things run smoo- thly 365 days a year, which is why the flexibility, wear resistance and break resistance of the mate- rials being used are particularly important. In the food industry, high hygiene and safety regula- tions must of course be met due to contact with food. Semi-finished products 05 Sustainability and climate neutrality Acting responsibly for a climate-neutral future The plastics processing industry makes an important contribution to reducing energy consumption, regardless of the often justified objections. Many sectors of the capital goods industry use ma- chined parts made of Wefapress® plastics, which ultimately makes it possible to use a wide variety of machines efficiently and econo- mically. As a plastics manufacturer, we have been dealing with the issue of sustainable energy utilisation for more than 15 years and since then have continuously analysed our own manufacturing cycle for resource- and climate-saving potentials: waste heat genera- ted during plastics production is recycled, the raw material re- sources used for our products are reduced to a minimum, waste is avoided or recycled and repro- cessed into new, innovative and high-quality products. In 2008, the management finally strived for long-term climate neu- trality by founding a new company and investing in a photovoltaic system with 175 KWP. There were already plans for additional investments to expand this plant to use the self-ge- nerated energy directly on-site to heat the presses and achieve significant savings in fossil fuels and the greenhouse gases they generate. However, in July 2021, a major fire at Wefapress® destroy- ed large parts of the buildings and the manufacturing facilities. In 2022, vigorous reconstruction work had already begun and one of the first projects was to repla- ce the destroyed photovoltaic system with an expansion to 220 KWP. It will continue to be gradu- ally expanded as our company develops and will be firmly integ- rated into our cycle. In the coming years, Wefapress® will completely reposition itself and appear on the market with the latest standards. The goal is to shape the future as a perman- ently sustainable company. 16

These novel, environmentally sound product developments from materials and recyclables will offer expanded industrial applications and areas of use. At the same time, the recycling of plastics from polyethylenes is an important component of our concept for the targeted clima- te neutrality and sustainability. The next contribution on the road to sustainability and clima- te neutrality will be the intro- duction of a circular economy with the return of plastic waste from our customer base. This involves defining standards for cleanliness and colour separa- tion for the in-house recycling of recyclates and introducing completely new internal processes. 17

Our high performance panels and outrigger pads are manufactu- red from high quality PE-UHMW recycled material and offer extre- mely high strength for even the heaviest lifting applications. They can withstand permanent vertical pressure and are dimensional- ly stable and very durable. Our outrigger pads not only secure vehicles or construction machi- nery against slipping, they also distribute heavy loads evenly and efficiently to prevent them from sinking on soft ground or ground that requires protection.
